Our mission as christians: The Great Commandment and The Great Commission
We, as a church, are focused on being faithful to both the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. Simply put, we are to Love God, Love People, and Make Disciples.
The Great commandment is found in Matthew 22:37-39,
"He said to him, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great and most important command. The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself."
The Great Commission is found in Matthew 28:16-20
"Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
We want to be faithful in how we love God and others. We want to make disciples that make disciples.
